The Key Stage 1 pupils learn about a infant baptism by role play. One of the schools dolls goes through the process of being Baptised with her family and friends made up from the class.

The significance of the candle and the water are explained. The server helping the Rector is an older member of the school and a member of the church fulfilling both roles.

Following the Baptism the children move to the church hall to cut the christening cake and to enjoy a small party in honour of the newly baptised doll.
