We could get much out of the pipe except for a squeak. So we had to examine the pipe for anything that might have fallen in. Simon blew down the pipe to get approximately the correct note.

Then the pipe had to be replaced in the right place ensuring that it was correctly seated.

This seemed to be a two man job.

Once the pipe was back in place then the final adjustments could be made.

Then the swell mechanism could be reassembled. The outside of the swell box on this organ is painted black, and the inside is painted white.

The shutters are put back into place and tested. |
