Completing the Swell Box

Most the of pipes have now been repaired, adjusted and cleaned and returned to a refurbished swell box

The organ has about 1168 pipes to restore.

Most the of the adjusters have been cleaned and repaired so that the organ can now be tuned.

Underneath the Great, shows the pneumatic action for each individual stop.

The pedals still require and large amount of work.

The new soldering shows up on the repaired pipes of the swell box.

Each of the pneumatic actions has a spring to return it to its original position. If the springs are put back the wrong way round in this organ they do not function correctly.

A cleaned and rufurbished stop selector, just prior to being put back into the organ.

Some of the stops have been put back into the swell at this stage. The pipes are put back rank by rank.
